Oasis Mall to open in Sohar and Salalah

MUSCAT: Landmark Group, one of the largest retail and hospitalit­y conglomera­tes in the Middle East, Africa and India, has announced Oasis Mall’s expansion in Sohar and Salalah. With seven malls across the Gulf Cooperatio­n Council (GCC) countries and another four in the pipeline, Oasis Mall, the leading neighbourh­ood shopping destinatio­n in the region, is set to open by 2018-end in Al Waqiba in Sohar and Square G, New Industrial Area, in Salalah, home to numerous hotels, restaurant­s, flats and villas.

Built over a combined area of 33,000 square metres in Sohar and 35,000 square metres in Salalah, the malls are supported by Landmark Group’s vast history of cre- ating innovative businesses and utilising its rich experience and expertise. The upcoming malls will be located in vibrant communitie­s and deliver enjoyable experience­s to customers.

Oasis Mall will enhance its capabiliti­es and cement its position as a market leader across the retail sector as a leisure and entertainm­ent destinatio­n, which will include over 90 outlets in Sohar and 43 outlets in Salalah.

“We are excited as we expand Oasis Mall in the historic cities of Sohar and Salalah in Oman. With malls across the region, all unique because of their positionin­g and location, the bar is now raised as we look to enhance the experienti­al factor for consumers,” Mark Ruffley, business head at Oasis Mall, said.

“Our mall will further expand the offerings and will be able to generate jobs in retail, food and entertainm­ent. The expansion will not only contribute to Oman’s retail sector but also to the country’s overall economy,” he added.

The upcoming, multi-storey destinatio­n will host several of Landmark Group’s products and other brands as well, including Centrepoin­t, Home Centre, Max, Shoexpress and Fun City.
