KR honours Omani staff with 20-year long service award

MUSCAT: Khimji Ramdas recently conducted its long service awards, honouring 12 Omani employees who have put in over 20 years of service at the company, in an atmosphere reflecting the family-oriented culture of the company and in the presence of Kanaski Khimji, Anil Khimji and Pankaj Khimji.

The award forms part of Khimji Ramdas continuous efforts to encourage and honour hardworking and dedicated employees through the years, where 18 employees were awarded.

“It’s such a fantastic occasion when I see colleagues of ours, spending half of their lives with us,” said Pankaj Khimji, director of Khimji Ramdas, fondly addressing the gathering of employees present. Twenty years is a long time, underscoring the loyalty and devotion of our employees to the company. To which I can only humbly say thank you and we wish you more success in your life. I am also so proud to see more Omanis within the organisation grew with us. I congratulate and salute you all for your continuous efforts.”

The KR Long Service Awards forms part of KR’s people-centric policy that places emphasis on the importance of an employee’s well-being within the company and on providing the right kind of motivation to drive better on-thejob performance.

Khalid Juma Khalfan, P&G Division, recipient of the award said, “I thank Khimji Ramdas for recognising the work I have put in at the company. It’s hard to say such a long period has gone by when you are working in a loving and caring environment. So I would like to once again thank Khimji Ramdas for creating this productive work atmosphere and for the experience.”

Aysha Rashid Salim Al Rashid, AC Division added, “First I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the company for giving me the support and encouragement to excel in my profession. I am grateful for this award; it is an honour and privilege when your employer treats you as a family member. That has been my experience at Khimji Ramdas these past years. I feel honoured to be part of the extended KR family.”

The Long Service Awards were instituted in 2010 and joins a list of similar initiatives by Khimji Ramdas that reiterate the company’s pro-people focus and commitment towards the welfare of its staff. For employees, the event is the culmination of an enriching and rewarding career, which most of the time, began at KR.
