Howden opens office in Oman

MUSCAT: Howden, part of the Hyperion Insurance Group, welcomed insurers and other strategic partners to the Crowne Plaza in Muscat recently to celebrate the opening of its Oman office.

Howden’s regional senior leadership team who shared growth plans and investment in the Turkey, Middle East & Africa (TMEA) region, attended the event. Over 75 people from across Oman, as well as India, the UAE and the UK attended the event, which was hosted by David Howden, CEO of Hyperion and Howden; Salim Saad Bahwan, chairman, Howden Oman; Rajiv Arora, CEO, Howden Oman; and AtincYilma­z, Regional CEO TMEA, Howden.

Howden is the internatio­nal retail broking arm of Hyperion, a global insurance group with employee ownership at its heart. It is the world’s largest independen­tly owned retail network outside of US. Howden and its broker network, Howden One, deliver specialist solutions to clients across 82 territorie­s globally, and control over $13 billion of premium.

Across the TMEA region, Howden has 12 offices and operates in 12 territorie­s with over 250 profession­als. In August 2017, Howden completed the majority acquisitio­n of New Generation Insurance Services Company, owned by a large and growing business house in Oman.
