OFA’s Mohsin named in AFC Independent Monitoring Group
MUSCAT: Showing trust in the growing stature of the Sultanate’s football, the Asian Football Confederation has named an Omani official in the newly-formed Independent Monitoring Group.
According to information received from the Oman Football Association (OFA), the association’s first vice-chairman Mohsin Al Masroori will now be the part of three-member group.
The AFC has recently announced their decision to form an Independent Monitoring Group to oversee — along with external auditors — the Commercial Rights tender.
The tender was opened on February 1 and closes on March 29.
Mohsin is also a member of the AFC Marketing Committee.
The Group also comprises Finance Commitee member Yuuichiro Nakajima of Japan and Audit and Compliance Committee member Kesvaran Murugasu of Malaysia.
According to the AFC, Deloitte will be the external auditors, who will monitor the management and operations of the process between the AFC Administration and bidders, while the AFC Audit and Compliance Committee recommended that the management and operations of the process between the Administration and the External Audit Company should be monitored by an Independent Monitoring Group.
