Ara Petroleum distributes desktop for schoolchildren in Buraimi

MUSCAT: In line with its strategy to support the development of the local communities it operates in, Ara Petroleum, a division of The Zubair Corporation of Oman distributed desktop for schoolchildren in Buraimi.

Ara Petroleum is a new, dynamic entrant to the E&P industry in Oman. The company seeks to develop oil & gas resources in Oman as well as abroad.

Ara Petroleum distributed laptops to students of Sultan Qaboos Basic School in Buraimi to facilitate quality learning amongst children in the local community.

Thanking Ara Petroleum for their gesture, Said bin Abood Al Kaabi, principal of Sultan Qaboos Basic School in Buraimi said, “These laptops will help our school engage with students better and help enhance their general learning experience. We want to express our sincere gratitude to Ara Petroleum for creating a positive change in the life of our students. Investing in them is as good as investing in the future of the country. Providing quality education to all students is vital to Oman’s future and Ara Petroleum has taken a step in this direction.”

Stressing that promoting quality education is both a social imperative and a strategic one, Osama bin Mohammed Al Zedjali of Ara Petroleum said, “Our corporate social responsibility vision is to generate opportunities and enable communities to transform lives. We have distributed laptops in this school in Buraimi to help provide access to quality digital learning to students. We are dedicated to investing in the intellectual capabilities of today’s youth to build a stronger and better tomorrow.”

It may be recalled that Zubair Small Enterprises Centre (Zubair SEC) had recently signed a collaboration agreement with ARA Petroleum in support of SMEs. As per the agreement, ARA Petroleum will adopt one of the seats of Zubair SEC’s Direct Support Programme 2018, which will be announced in few weeks. ARA Petroleum is keen on collaborating with Zubair SEC to maximise the In-Country Value of its operations in Oman and extend all possible support to members of the Centre.
