Dhofar Automotive completes 10th edition of Jeep Jamboree

The event saw the convoy travel hundreds of kilometres through challenging terrains while it takes in the spectacular beauty of the Sharqiyah region

MUSCAT: The 10th edition of Oman’s favourite Jeep four-wheeldrive adventure, more popularly known as the ‘Jeep Jamboree’, saw a convoy of 80 Jeep Wranglers and about 200 participants, taking on the challenging and thrilling adventure through the Sharqiyah Sands.

The two-day adventure took place from March 15 - 17.

Commenting on the desert adventure, Rhett Maxwell, general manager of Dhofar Automotive noted, “At Dhofar Automotive, we like to engage with our valued customers by encouraging them to join in these hugely popular desert adventures, and the Jeep Jamboree has really grown in popularity in Oman over these past few years. It is an amazing adventure, allowing participants to drive 4WD Jeep Wrangler models across sand dunes to enhance their driving skills, alongside discovering the true off-road potential of their vehicle. When organising the adventure, we ensure that it suits all levels of driving experience and offers a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone.”

The event organised by Dhofar Automotive, the exclusive dealer for Jeep in the Sultanate, saw the convoy travel hundreds of kilometres through challenging terrains while it takes in the spectacular beauty of the Sharqiyah region.

“The Jeep Jamboree has seen a major growth over the years, with more Jeep owners actively participating in this annual event each year. It has been a pleasure for my team to guide the convoy through the Sharqiyah Sands right from its very first edition; and I look forward to continuing doing so for the foreseeable future,” added Rebecca Mayston, the manager from The Guide Oman.

Commenting on the trip Maha Al Balushi, a Jeep owner who attended the crossing said, “This is the first time I am attending the crossing and it was a truly incredible experience.
