‘Calculate it Right’ workshop series concludes
MUSCAT: National Finance Company and Sharakah concluded ‘Calculate it Right’ workshop series that started in December 2017.
The workshops were delivered in 10 different wilayats across Oman and have benefited more than 360 individuals, the majority of which are existing business owners. The final workshop was conducted on March 25 at the Public Authority for SME Development (Riyada).
The objective of the workshop is to raise the level of financial literacy amongst community members and help those who are managing their own business have a better understanding of their business’s financial performance.
These series of workshops were held as a result of a cooperation agreement signed between National Finance Company and Fund for Development of Youth Projects (Sharakah). The workshop covered the basis of calculating the project Setup Capital, Operating Capital, Breakeven Point, Fixed and Variable Costs, Sales Assumption, Required Resources and Service Pricing.
Hani Al Zubair, National Finance Company Deputy Chairman, Ali Al Tamimi, National Finance General Manager and Dr Ahmed Al Ghassani, Riyada’s CEO handed the certificates to the participants. The participants of the workshop expressed their appreciation of the workshop and advised to have more sessions that address such issues.

Sahar Al Lawati, Investment Analyst at Sharakah added, “Calculate it Right provided us with an opportunity to engage with local SMEs and to identify the different challenges they tackle in their operations. Indeed, having an open discussion with the business owners enables us to channel our services to better serve them. Moreover, it gave us the chance to know the wide range of products and services offered in every governance.”
Calculate it right workshops series were held across Oman in cooperation with National Finance Branches. National Finance Company is a leading finance company in the Sultanate of Oman.
