Lulu launches ‘World Food Expo’
MUSCAT: Lulu Hypermarket is organising its annual food festival 2018, giving shoppers a chance to embark on an appetising journey of the diverse array of worldwide flavours.
The event ‘World Food Expo 2018’ will not only enable customers to bite into the best of culinary treats from all over the world but also to taste their way to victory.
The two-week festival will be held from March 21 to April 2.
The event will run across all Lulu hypermarkets and will offer shoppers a relishing experience while giving them a chance to win fabulous prizes by taking part in cookery contests and raffle promotions.
The hypermarkets will be abuzz with activities, such as live cooking demos, free sampling sessions, cookery contests, and exhibitions, throughout this period. Customers can avail special discounts and offer on ready-toeat items, pastries, bread, fresh food products, and lot more.
Customers also stand a chance to drive home a brand new Ford Explorer by being a part of the special raffle promotion held during this period.
Throughout the promotion period, shoppers receive a raffle coupon on the purchase of food products worth OMR10 from any of the Lulu hypermarkets in Oman. Apart from the grand prize, there are 10 55” Sony 4K Smart TVs and 50 gift vouchers worth OMR50 to be won. The grand draw will be held on April 9 at Lulu Baushar.
Special in-store sampling counters will be put up throughout the promotion, offering customers an opportunity to sample a variety of food products on display. Through the live cooking demo, customers can witness how various specialities and delicacies are prepared. Visitors can also learn to cook to perfection by getting tips on the ideal consistency, flavour, and timing.
As part of the Food Fiesta, a SuperChef Cookery contest will also be held on March 31. Customers who wish to participate can do so by just filling up an entry form with details on the name of the recipe, the list of ingredients used, and the method of preparation. A panel of judges will evaluate the dishes and decide the winner based on the appearance, taste, aroma and innovation of the recipe.
