Sharakah highlights its business performance at AGM

MUSCAT: Sharakah held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on March 26, 2018, for the financial year ending December 31, 2017.
The meeting was presided over by Hani Al Zubair, Chairman of the Board of Directors, in the presence of board members, representatives of shareholders, staff and officials of authorities concerned.
Al Zubair welcomed all the attendees and started by pointing out His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said had issued a Royal Decree on November 8, 1998, to incorporate a fund for the development of youth projects as a closed-joint stock company, specifically dedicated to supporting the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). and horizontally, with a number of them being recognised locally and regionally. requested from Sharakah. Apart from the agreement signed with BP Oman for the 4th consecutive year, Sharakah established cooperation with National Finance Company and the Public Authority for SME Development (Riyada),” said Al Zubair.
The agreements signed with various business partners include managing the implementation of a khazzan project for SME development supported by BP Oman, delivering 12 workshops titled “Calculate it Right” to students of 12 educational institutions and another 12 to business owners in 12 wilayats, and evaluating the performance of 10 existing SMEs and offering advice for improvement.
