Sultanate to host Annual Sales Forces for Selectour Network

MUSCAT: The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Tourism, will host the 9th Annual Sales Forces for Selectour Network placed under the theme “Performance: Human and Technological Issues”, in collaboration with the Tourism Board of the Sultanate of Oman,
Oman Air, Qatar Airways and Emirates Falcon Tourism, referenced receptive of the Selectour Network.
The workshop will be held at the Hormuz Grand Hotel, from April 4 to 8.
Participants are expected to discover Oman and all its secrets. Two hundred participants, including 120 agents, are expected to participate.
Tourism potential
The purpose of the workshop is to promote the Sultanate’s tourism potential in international tourism markets, including the French tourism market and highlight the Sultanate as a top-choice destination.
They will meet and exchange notes on business tourism, MICE, leisure tourism, car rentals and hotel industries.
On the importance of hosting this event in the Sultanate, Salem Adi Al Mamari, Director General of Tourism Promotion, stressed on the significance of French tourists in the Sultanate, since they are ranked third in terms of the number of tourists coming to the country.
The number of French tourists who visited the Sultanate in the year 2017 reached some 50,000 tourists, an increase of 20 per cent over the previous year, which reflects all that the Sultanate has to offer.
