BankDhofar supports SMEs at JSRS Riyada e-Marketplace

MUSCAT: In the demonstration of its commitment to support SME sector, BankDhofar joined hands with Business Gateway as a strategic partner and the exclusive sponsor for JSRS Riyada e-Marketplace corner at the OGWA exhibition.

The first edition of Business Gateways (Joint Supplier Registration System) JSRS Riyada eMarketplace aims at showcasing more than 100 SMEs. The initiative reflects BankDhofar’s keenness to support the vital sector that plays a great role in developing the national economy. SMEs registered with Business Gateway will benefit from BankDhofar’s support to market their products in this exhibition and may benefit from BankDhoar’s wide range of SME products thereafter.

Elaborating on BankDhofar’s partnership with Business Gateway, Hussain Ali Ibrahim Al Lawati, AGM - Head of Business Banking noted: “The SME sector is a vital contributor to the growth and diversification of the national economy. We have always been keen to support entrepreneurs and participate in initiatives that accelerate the development of the sector. Nurturing this important segment is crucial to the future of a having a sustainable GDP and employment levels.”

The JSRS Riyada e-Marketplace showcases Oman’s SMEs, their current business activities, products and services etc., through an innovative display system, making them visible to Oman’s project owners for allocation of projects within Oman, and to worldwide companies for technology partnerships.

As part of the partnership, BankDhofar will showcase various services and products to JSRS registered SMEs, including SME credit cards, Contract Financing, in addition to other finance solutions.

The SME Credit Card comes with a wide array of features including, managing expenses, and data transfer and integration through MasterCard Smart Data, a tenure of up to 47 days without any fees or commissions. Additionally, Smart Data Portal feature provides quick and easy access to card spending data, tracks and reports detailed card spending activity among other advantages. The Credit Card is made for business customers who need a card that can deliver flexibility, more purchasing power and the ability to take care of the business anywhere in the world. The card comes with a wide range of optional benefits including; corporate liability waiver to protect the company against unauthorised use of the card, tailored insurance with preferential rates on SME healthcare, SME Motor Fleet, SME Personal Accidents.

BankDhofar has a dedicated department, which oversees the implementation of its SME strategy. This department oversees the creation of new organic product and services and extends towards collaborating with third parties to provide SMEs with financial and technical benefits beyond banking products.
