Al Hashar Pharmacy launches Crescina

-

MUSCAT: Al Hashar Pharmacy in association with principal company Labo International SRL, an Italian subsidiary of the Swiss company Labo Cosprophar AG launched premium product line Crescina for hair care (in particular androgenetic alopecia) in Oman.

Crescina re-growth

It helps the physiological hair growth on the thinned areas of the scalp. In 1991 LaboCosprophar laboratories developed Crescina, a complex of amino acids, Cysteine and Lysine, blended into an anti-hair loss preparation with vasodilator action, that is also capable to help hair regrow by acting on the hair bulbs that are still active.

In 1998 the discovery acquired a solid dimension when the two amino acids, Cysteine and Lysine, were combined to a Glycoprotein, able to stimulate cell metabolism in the still active hair bulbs, increasing the protein synthesis process (in vitro tests), i.e. the production of keratin that leads to the formation of the hair.

Crescina is not an anti-hair loss product. In 1998, Crescina was granted a Swiss patent because of its absolute novelty: it is not an anti-hair loss lotion like many others, but a treatment capable of reactivating the physiological hair growth in areas affected by thinning, as long as the bulbs inside the hair follicles are still active, even partly. The formulation does not act on completely atrophied hair follicles or on thinning due to pathological causes.

Crescina is a cosmetic preparation for topical use in vials.

The core formulation

Crescina helps the natural hair growth thanks to the synergistic action of its components. From the formulation point of view, Crescina is a dispersion, in a proper hydro alcoholic agent, of a series of functional substances typified by their own individual functions and activities, which together create the effectiveness of the product.

Crescina Re-Growth consists in the combination of two amino acids, Cysteine and Lysine, basic components of the hair keratin, and a special “activator” called Glycoprotein, capable of increasing cell metabolism (in vitro test) in order to stimulate the protein synthesis, especially of keratin, an essential protein for the hair.

The hydroalcoholic agent, together with the manual massage performed during Crescina topical application, helps the distribution of these functional ingredients on the scalp and mildly stimulates the blood supply to the hair bulbs, which is thus more prone to the penetration of the substances.

Crescina has different formulations for men and women.

In addition to the re-growth formulations, Labo developed also specific vials for treating the hair loss (Swiss and European patents) which are inserted in the complete treatments re-growth and anti-hair loss, suitable for those who suffer from hair loss and, simultaneously, have an already visible thinning condition on the scalp.
