Zain inks agreement with SMC Infra

Al Muna Gardens project will be finished and handed over in 33 months by SMC Infra

MUSCAT: Zain Real Estate Developmen­t handed over officially the contract for the much-awaited Al Muna Gardens project to SMC Infra at a signing ceremony held in the Grand Hyatt recently.

Al Muna Gardens project will be the first-ever green residentia­l city in the heart of Muscat, consisting of 122 villas divided into four categories of villas among the many options with the area being surrounded by green spaces and every facility that are required in a modern lifestyle.

SMC Infra will start its work from April end and will be completed in 33 months.

Madhusudan P., executive director said, “We have been in the industry for almost a decade and ever since the operations which started way back in 2011, we have undertaken projects worth more than OMR100 million. We are extremely proud to be associated with Zain Property Developmen­t for the ambitious project of Al Muna Gardens. We, at the company, is well-equipped with the best of the technical, engineerin­g and managerial skills and is confident to handover to the client within the designated time.”

SMC Infra started its humble beginning with just five staff members and in a short span of eight years has grown to over 3,000 staff members with a mixture of nationals and different ethnicitie­s. The company has an impeccable safety record and has been thus credited from various private and public sectors. Some of the recent projects that the company has successful­ly undertaken are the Mall of Muscat, Oasis Mall (Salalah) Dhofar Municipali­ty head office, etc.

Biju Chandran, CEO said, “We have undertaken projects all across Oman including Salalah, Sohar, Kashab and Muscat. There are also projects that are in Tanzania, Ghana, Malawi and India. The company is fully ISO certified in quality, environmen­t and health-safety. The Al Muna Gardens will be under regular inspection from a multi-national engineerin­g team and experts during the entire 33 months.”
