MUSCAT: The luxurious Lexus ES has stood out once again proving why it is a preferred model for customers in the Lexus range, by topping the Compact Premium Car Category in 2018 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study.

The Lexus ES topped the Compact Premium Car category. Lexus ranks highest in overall vehicle dependability among all brands, with a score of 99 PP100.

The study now in its 29th year measures the number of problems experienced per 100 (PP100) during the past 12 months by original owners of 2015 model-year vehicles. A lower score reflects higher quality, and the study covers 177 specific problems grouped into eight major vehicle categories. The overall industry average improves by 14 PP100 to 142 PP100 from 156 PP100 in 2017.

The 2018 US Vehicle Dependability Study is based on responses from 36,896 original owners of 2015 model-year vehicles after three years of ownership. The study was fielded in October-December 2017.

If you have wished to own Lexus luxury that is rewarding on ownership including fuel-efficiency then the Lexus ES is the perfect luxury vehicle to own. Being one of the most popular models in the Lexus line-up, the ES has made a huge impact on customers worldwide with all that it has to offer.

The Lexus ES is available in options of a 2.5L, 16 Valve, engine and the 3.5 litres, engine paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission along with a choice of Eco, Normal And Sport modes.

The Lexus ES is available in 10 exterior colours including four new colours: Sonic Quartz, Graphite Black GF, Amber C.S. and Deep Blue MC. All the 10 colours were carefully selected to reflect the ES’ dynamic surface and are developed through a multi-stage paint process that gives Lexus models their deep, jewel-like lustre.

The Drive Mode Select feature in the Lexus ES can tailor powertrain response and other settings to suit conditions or the mood. ECO mode adjusts engine response and climate-control settings to help maximise fuel economy. Sport mode sharpens throttle and transmission response for a more engaging driving experience, while the Normal mode is designed to provide an ideal balance of performance and efficiency.

For Lexus, designers have cast a daring new form with the refreshed ES. A commanding front fascia that features Lexus’ trademark spindle grille, framed in combination with accentuated brilliant satin chrome, gives this new ES a new sense of luxury and instantly distinguishes it from the crowd. Accompanying the grille is a pair of newly designed headlights, now equipped with LED technology, while iconic “L”shaped arrowhead Daytime Running Lights (DRL) extend outside the headlight element for a distinctive look that links it with other Lexus models. Also, redesigned fog lamp areas have been relocated to the outer lower corners of the front fascia and amplify the vehicle’s wide stance.

Lexus ES’ luxurious spirit is further enriched with the standard 10way adjustable power front seats, cushion length adjustment switch for the driver seat, automatic climate control, NuLuxe perforated upholstery, a power tilt-and-slide moonroof and power-adjustable outside mirrors with turn signals.

To complement this striking new design, two 17-inch wheels with directional spoke patterns have been developed. A multiplane machined 20-spoke wheel in a metallic dark grey colour is also available as an option.

Starting with 12 standard airbags, the Lexus ES offers exemplary safety through its robust structure and a wide array of driver-assist technologies.
