Abeer Hospital reinforces community care initiatives
MUSCAT: The social welfare initiatives driven by Abeer Hospital in Muscat are turning out more active with a succession of interventions in community care. The hospital has launched a special medical card for the benefit of the Bangladeshi community in association with Bangladesh Social Club.
The card was launched by His Excellency Abul Hasan Mridha, counsellor to the Embassy of People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Sultanate of Oman. On this occasion, the Bangladeshi Counsellor appreciated the efforts of Abeer Hospital to serve the community by extending medical care.
Alungal Mohammed, president of Abeer Medical Group remarked that social responsibility has an integral part in the group’s healthcare delivery model. “We strive to add better values to the society with all our endeavours”, he stated.
The med card offers special discounts on investigations and procedures ensuring that quality healthcare is accessible to everyone.
Jamsheer Hamza, director Abeer Medical Group Oman, informed that similar cards would be extended to other communities and clubs as well. “Our mission is to offer community care services to all in this locality”, he added.
The cards are distributed freeof-cost. The Embassy of Bangladesh will help their people in getting the cards. The details of the card user will be entered when the med card is brought back to the hospital.
The event was conducted in the presence of the senior management representatives of Abeer Hospital and prominent Bangladeshi community leaders and social figures like Shirajul Haque, chairperson of Bangladeshi Social Club, other executive members of the club, members of Chittagong Shomittee Forum, Bangladesh Shomittie Forum and Bongobondhu Shomitte Forum.
