Trampo Extreme hosts media night

MUSCAT: Celebratin­g the launch of its first facility in Oman, Trampo Extreme recently hosted a special evening event exclusivel­y for members of the local media and their families at the Trampo Extreme Facility in Ghala.

Under the newly establishe­d Oman-Kuwait joint venture company, United Leisure and Entertainm­ent, ‘Trampo Extreme, Oman’, located near the Oman Exhibition and Convention Centre, recently opened its doors to the public. A first of its kind family entertainm­ent centre in the county, the centre offers a wide range of family activities including Oman’s largest trampoline area and the Sultanate’s only indoor scooter and skate park.

Amro Al Siyabi, one of the founding partners of Trampo Extreme in Oman noted, “Our main aim was to create a unique destinatio­n which not only provided a dedicated facility for family entertainm­ent but also added value to the country’s economy by facilitati­ng inbound and outbound tourism. Our focus would not be solely on trampoline­s, but various dynamic activities, such as football, parkour, a scooter and skate park and more. Through this venture, one of our main objectives was to provide families in Oman with a safe outlet that promotes fun and physical activity.”

Trampo Extreme will also feature 190 on-site parking spaces, event halls for the celebratio­n of special events or social gatherings, and an indoor food zone. The food zone will consist of their specialise­d brand of refreshmen­t – ‘RECHARGE’. Furthermor­e, there will be an American Airstream Caravan serving burgers and fries, a converted Volkswagen Kombi which will offer ice cream and popcorn, and two-cycle carts offering coffee.

Commenting on the event, Craig Ogilvie, the general manager of United Leisure and Entertainm­ent said, “We are proud to be the first family entertainm­ent centre in Oman and seek to create an environmen­t that is fun and enjoyable for people of all ages. Be it either children or even their parents, we have a wide range of activities and thrilling features to establish the fact that no matter how old you are, you can still have fun. All our facilities are aimed at providing families with an enriching experience and an exciting way for them to bond in a fun-filled atmosphere, with safety as our main priority.”

The 4,700sqm Trampo Extreme Family Entertainm­ent Centre offers its customers several attraction­s, such as ‘Clip’N’Climb’, which is a globally renowned climbing area with 26 colourful theme challenges; ‘Drop Slide’, a slide raised to six metres off the ground which will thrill roller coaster enthusiast­s; ‘Goal Jnr’, 15-minute mini football games; ‘Skytrail’, a 10m-high rope course including rope walk challenges and a zip line; ‘Ninja Zone’, an indoor obstacle course and parkour area with soft mats; and ‘Trampo Twister’, an indoor cave and tunnel area. Their main attraction, however, is the ‘Trampoline Zone’, which is Oman’s largest trampoline area, complete with foam pits, basketball, trapeze, battle beam, and airbags. Additional­ly, they also offer a soft play area for children called ‘Trampo Junior’ with its own trampoline zone and foam pits. The centre will also feature a ‘Digi-zone’ with a virtual reality area for exciting digital activities, as well as Oman’s only indoor scooter and skate park called ‘Skate n Ride’.

Each zone has its respective safety operating procedures and customers are ensured that the safety check routines and protocols are adhered to at all times. All staff is fully trained in the centre’s operations.
