Omantel adds more value to its Home Broadband plans

MUSCAT: For the first time in the Sultanate, Omantel, the premier telecommun­ications operator in the Sultanate, has announced the launch of its Family Home Broadband (HBB) add-on that offers high-value pricing plans along with unlimited calls to up to nine numbers.

The add-on allows customers to add a certain number of mobile lines under one group so that they can make free calls together while enjoying unlimited download speeds.

The Family Home Broadband Add-on is available in Unlimited M and L packages and Premium S, M, L and XL packages and can be availed by dialling *160# for an affordable rate of OMR2. Customers can add up to nine lines free of charge in the Premium XL plan. However, in the rest of the plans, customers can add an additional postpaid/prepaid line. After adding the family group numbers, customers will be charged 200 Bz for every change in the favourite numbers

Mohammed Al Hakmani, Core Services Manager at Omantel Consumer Business Unit, said: “Omantel has always believed that growth is generated from the diversific­ation of services and promotions, we are pleased to introduce the newly innovated Family Home Broadband add-on for the 1st time in the market for Home broadband customers. Customers can create a closed user group between fixed and mobile calls with a high range of minutes.”

He further added: “Omantel is committed to providing real value to its services and enriches our customers’ lives. This add-on will especially appeal to parents as they can rest assured when their children are outside their homes and run out of credit all of a sudden, now do not have to recharge, they can simply call the numbers listed in the family group free of charge.”
