Oman Qatar Insurance Company opens two new branches in Oman

As a preferred insurer for customers in the Sultanate of Oman, OQIC has taken a steadfast approach to expand its presence in the market and widen customers’ access to its full spectrum of industry-leading services and solutions

MUSCAT: As part of its expansion strategy and to further strengthen its domestic footprint in Oman, Oman Qatar Insurance Company (OQIC), Oman’s premier insurer has opened two new full-service branches in Nizwa and Barka, Oman.

Nizwa, Barka branches

OQIC’s Nizwa branch is located in Shop no F2 in the ground floor at the Nizwa Grand Mall while the Barka branch is located in Shop no 8, Al Jahila near Michline Tyre in Barka. The branch timings for Nizwa Grand Mall is from 10am to 10pm - Saturday to Thursday.

The timing for Barka branch is from 8am to 8pm – Sunday to Thursday.

Modern look

Designed to offer an open layout and lighting system that gives a modern and receptive look, both the branches are well poised to service customers and offer a full range of personal insurance products (car insurance, home insurance, travel insurance, personal accident benefit etc.) that are best matched to the preferences of existing and prospective customers residing in the Nizwa and Barka districts of Oman.

The branches were inaugurated by Sheikh Faisal bin Ali Al Zaidi - deputy governor of Nizwa and Sheikh Hilal bin Ali bin Saif Al Maamari, deputy governor of Barka in the presence Navin Kumar, CEO of Oman Qatar Insurance, Omar Al Shanfari, Relationship Manager - Govt. & HR and Hamad Al Musallami, Retail Manager, Motor.

Strategic goal

Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, Navin Kumar said, “The opening of the two branches at Nizwa and Barka mark a giant leap towards our strategic goal of becoming the insurer of choice for customers across the Sultanate of Oman.

“We are confident that our customers will immensely benefit from the multitude of services offered at our new branches.”

He further commented, “While we continue to renew our efforts towards optimising the online portal we have always ensured to widen our network of branches and kiosks with the aim to make it more convenient and be better access to our customers across all the strategic locations in Oman.”
