Al Tasnim all set to commission its new Glass Processing Unit

MUSCAT: Al Tasnim Group, a trusted name in the Sultanate for over 4 decades, is slated to commission a new Glass Processing Unit in September 2018.

Currently, most special glasses used in the constructi­on industry of the Sultanate are sourced from outside the Sultanate. The group is set to change that by becoming a pioneer in glass processing with the capability of delivering the latest range of high-performanc­e glasses meeting the growing industry requiremen­ts.

The landscape of Oman is progressiv­ely changing and imbibing newer technology in the constructi­on sector. Glass is one of the most sought-after materials due to its versatile and durable nature also providing architects with the leverage to display their ingenuity. Moreover, it also serves several other purposes such as insulation from heat and noise, offering elegance and style and importantl­y energy efficient as it allows natural light to enter the premises.

The state-of-the-art facility located in Misfah spreads over 10,000 sqm and is built with a capacity to engineer tailor-made specific applicatio­ns or requiremen­ts to the esteemed clients. This is well supplement­ed by modern machinery from Finland, Italy and Austria managed by highly qualified, a well-experience­d team of profession­als having internatio­nal experience.

The facility shall include: a) Jumbo size glass tempering line 2.80 X 6.00m from Glaston - Finland, leaders in glass tempering process, b) Frameless window solutions with maximum vision panels, c) Capable of tempering all types of high-performanc­e glass with flatter and iridescenc­e-free products for elegantly finished building facades, d) Hermetical­ly sealed glass with IG lines from Lisec – Austria, e) Latest technology to deliver all types of highperfor­mance Glass, f ) Capable of supplying Heat Soaked Glass.

“With the latest technology and a focused vision, Al Tasnim Group’s Glass Processing Unit will serve as a one-stop solution for a comprehens­ive range of glass from tempered to heat-strengthen­ed to insulated and also sandblaste­d,” said Suhas Borse, director – Building Finishes Division.
