NBO awards Al Kanz lucky winners OMR105,000

MUSCAT: Under the patronage of Sheikh Abdullah bin Aqeel Al Ibrahim, Acting Deputy Governor of Dhofar, the National Bank of Oman (NBO) awarded lucky winners a total cash prize of OMR105,000 as part of its Al Kanz saving scheme.

The monthly draw took place at the annual Salalah Tourism Festival. In 2018 alone, 8,993 customers have won OMR 1,371,700 in prize money.

John Chang, general manager and chief retail banking officer at NBO said, “At NBO, the Al Kanz scheme is a compelling financial solution for our customers. It provides them with a roadmap for financial security through saving and rewarding. Over the years, this popular scheme has seen more savers winning more money.”

This month’s draw presented four lucky account holders with OMR25,000 each, and 10 salary transfer customers with OMR500 each. Three festival-goers also won OMR 100 each through an instant draw at the event. Making the Festival extra special, NBO also awarded two winners OMR100 each every Friday.

He added, “We wanted to bring the Al Kanz excitement to Salalah Tourism Festival, and share this joyous celebratio­n with thousands of visitors during this Khareef season.”

Al Kanz is instilling a savings culture by motivating customers with cash prizes. The revamped programme promises 15,684 winners and a total of OMR3,251,000 prize money by the end of 2018. With an average minimum balance of OMR100 in their Al Kanz Savings account, customers are automatica­lly eligible for monthly prize draws.
