Eid celebratio­ns to begin at MGM from August 16

MUSCAT: Muscat Grand Mall (MGM), the most popular shopping destinatio­n in the capital, will be kicking-off its Eid Al Adha celebratio­ns from August 16.

During the course of the event, the mall will feature an ice skating show and the exclusive Mazaya Grand ‘Shop and Win’ campaign, which includes several great offers and discounts at participat­ing stores.

In commemorat­ion of the auspicious event, Hassan Jaboub, CEO of MGM said, “On behalf of MGM, I would like to wish the people of Oman a very happy Eid, and peace and prosperity to citizens of Oman under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.”

Visitors to the Mall will be able to experience an exciting ‘fairyland’ themed ice-skating show, which will be the first of its kind in the Sultanate. The show will run for nine days, from August 16 to 24, with three shows taking place between 5pm to 9pm each day. After the performanc­e, customers will have the opportunit­y to meet with the fairy ice-skaters, socialise with them, and click pictures.

Additional­ly, MGM has recently announced the launch of its new promotiona­l ‘Shop and Win’ campaign that will run until November 20 and is exclusivel­y for ‘Mazaya Grand’ cardholder­s. The new campaign will offer a package of special discounts at most of the mall shops, exclusive to ‘Mazaya Grand’ cardholder­s who pay using the ‘Mazaya Grand’ card. Customers spending OMR20 or more using the ‘Mazaya Grand’ card at the participat­ing shops, will receive a coupon. Subsequent purchases will increase their chances to win the grand prize of a stunning Infiniti Q50.

Due to MGM’s modern marketing approach, leading brands continue to join the Mall and are the primary reason for the increase in the number of visitors. MGM recently announced the opening of a wide range of world-class fashion and beauty brands such as LeSoie, Riva Kids, Pastel, Choice, Jorindo, and the Omani brand, Latafa. Defacto, the longawaite­d Turkish clothing brand, will also be opening soon.

“Over the past few years, MGM has positioned itself as one of the most comprehens­ive shopping and entertainm­ent destinatio­ns in the capital; bringing together a huge range of options for both local and expatriate visitors. We are pleased with the recent statistics from the E-Visitor Monitoring System, which has shown a 20% increase in the numbers of visitors as compared to last year. This indicates that we are capable of responding to and meeting the needs of our visitors, and even possibly exceeding their expectatio­ns,” Hassan added.

The grand draw and the winner announceme­nt for the ‘Shop and Win’ campaign will be on November 21.

The new shops will complement popular existing stores, such as Max, Babyshop, Splash, Shoe Palace, and La Moda; retailers of perfume and fragrances like Amouage, Oud Elite, and Kalakas; jewellery store, Pure Gold; optical outlet, Paris Optics; confection­ary, Royalle Chocolate; and diner/café, CioccolatI­taliani; GNC, the nutritiona­l supplement retailer; and the mind-blowing displays of the Museum of Illusions. Additional­ly, the Mall also saw the expansions for Carrefour and Homes R Us and the recently opened VOX cinemas in the premises, with renovation­s currently in place for Makan Café and Monalisa.
