Military Haj Mission leaves

MUSCAT: As part of the Royal care accorded by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces to the personnel of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) and other military and security apparatuse­s, the 1439 AH Military Haj Mission left the country on Wednesday onboard of the Royal Air Force of Oman’s Transport planes, heading to Mecca to perform the Haj rituals.

Seen off

The mission was seen off at A’Seeb Air Base by Rear Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis Al Raisi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), a number of senior officers AT SAF, the Royal Guard of Oman, the Royal Oman Police and Royal Court Affairs and other military and security apparatuse­s.

Royal orders

The Military Haj Mission is sent annually upon the Royal orders and directives of His Majesty the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces to the personnel of SAF and other military and security apparatuse­s whether are on the job or retirees.

The SAF Moral Guidance prepares and organises the Military Haj Mission and taking all necessary measures related to the mission in coordinati­on with the Embassy of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Sultanate and the Omani Haj Mission of the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, in order to strengthen communicat­ion and coordinati­on between the two parties to facilitate the mission’s procedures according to the conditions and regulation­s in this regard.

The military mission is accompanie­d by an integrated administra­tive team with all specialisa­tions, to provide the best services to the mission members to enable them perform the rituals in the best manner, according to the plans set in advance and in order to achieve the goals of this blessed journey.
