Mwasalat announces launch of new route

Services on the new route Number 10 from Al Mabaila to Burj Al Sahwa will begin from Friday

MUSCAT: Oman’s National Transport Company, Mwasalat, announced the launch of a new route Number 10 from Al Mabaila to Burj Al Sahwa.

Journeys through the new route will begin from Friday, September 28, as part of the company’s plan to expand the public transport network in Muscat Governorat­e.

The route of the new line will start from Al Mabaila station - Al Sharadi - A’Seeb police station A’Seeb Market - Al Adiyat Street - Al Rawda roundabout - Al Nakhil street - Al Hail North - Al Ishraq Roundabout - Al Mawalih North - Tameer Street- South Mawalih Market - Mawalih Market- Burj Al Sahwa - Al Mawalih, and then, the bus will return on the same path to the starting point.

Mwasalat will operate the new route (round trip) every 20 minutes from 6am on weekdays and public holidays, and passengers can buy tickets on board the bus.

Passengers coming from Ruwi on Line 1 can get off at Burj Al Sahwa or Al Mawalih and then take the bus on line 10 if they want to go to Seeb market or any other stop on that line.

Passengers arriving from Al Khuwair on line No. 8 can get off at the North Mawalih Station or Al Ishraq roundabout and then take the bus on line 10 and then head to Seeb market or any other stop on the new line. Within each bus, special priority seats for families and women will be available, as well as for people with special needs. Free Wi-Fi is available on board the Mwalsalat buses in the Sultanate.
