Geely celebrates sales of half-a-million Emgrand X7 Sport with journey from China to Britain

MUSCAT: To celebrate the sales of half a million units of Geely Emgrand X7 Sport worldwide, a convoy of 10 of these high-powered vehicles completed travelling 18,000 kilometres from China to Britain.

Crossing nine countries such as Russia, Germany, France, and Britain and making heads turn with its designer styling in 58 cities, in its journey across the Eurasian continent, Geely was at home both on-road and off-road. Crisscrossing the sandy Gobi desert in China, high mountains, deep valleys and four different climatic zones, Geely challenged the impossible with the courage to dare through its unrivalled quality.

Geely Auto had recently delivered its 500,000th Emgrand X7 Sport, revealing that in just 25 months since its launch, more than half a million happy customers are now the proud owners of this brand’s flagship SUV. Following this milestone, Geely embarked on an epic drive that commenced from China, and culminated in London. Paris marked the third official stop of this journey, the first being Moscow, followed by Hamburg.

Speaking during a celebratory event during a stopover in Paris, Geely’s chief designer Peter Horbury said: “It is wholly appropriate that we are here in Europe’s artistic capital working together with artists and car designers from the East and West to envision what the future of mobility might look like. I am very excited about the results, and what we have done for the Geely Design compositions is to envision multi-layered mobility in the next century, blending the legacy and the future.
