MUSCAT: Modern Exchange opens its 31st branch in Seeb inside Mars Hypermarke­t for customers. Modern Exchange is 1993 establishe­d firm, which is part of the conglomera­te in Kuwait, Al Mulla Group of Companies (1938).

Modern Exchange is known for its innovation and technology and it is the first company bringing in revolution in the Oman remittance industry by introduce Zero Minute Remittance in 2012 where the remittance reaches the beneficiar­y’s accounts within split seconds before customer leaves the branch and even if bank are closed in recipient country, and also provides SMS feedback of the remittance to the customer’s mobile within 3 minutes.

“On September 28 (Friday), during our Seeb branch opening, we have disbursed insurance claims to Modern Exchange customers totaling an amount of OMR9,800/to the relatives of 7 deceased customers, who had remitted through us.”

The name of seven deceased are Emilia Bobo Magno, Khalid Pewez Faqir Muhammed, Chand Siddiq Mohammaed, Gopal Sarma Surendra Sarma, Abdul Wahab Mominul Haque, Behlim Mahboob Behlim, Noushad Manham Bair.

“As part of social corporate responsibi­lity ‘Free insurance coverage’ to all our customers in Oman irrespecti­ve of the remittance amount. It is gesture of our love and join their family back home during their sad times. We have settled 9 insurance in last 8 months of this year 2018.”

“On every transactio­n with us, the customer is entitled for a ‘free insurance cover’ of OMR1,600 valid for 30 days and for a customer who is doing remittance with us every month, he/she is covered for entire 365 days in a year. There are no premiums being paid or policies being filled by our customers. This insurance covers unforeseen events like normal death and accidental death.”
