Muscat Municipali­ty tournament from November 2

MUSCAT: Muscat Municipali­ty, represente­d by the Directorat­e General of Human Resources and the Sport Committee will hold the Muscat Cricket Tournament for the second consecutiv­e year it was announced at a press conference held at the Al Falaj Hotel.

The tournament will be held in collaborat­ion with the Oman Cricket and a number of corporate houses from November 2-30, with matches being held every Friday at the Qurum Natural Park.

According to the organisers a total number of 32 teams will participat­e in the tournament with 11 teams from the Muscat Municipali­ty, 16 teams from the private sector and 5 Omani teams.

Assistant Director General of the Directorat­e General of Human Resources Adil Arafah said that Muscat Municipali­ty seeks through this tournament to raise people’s awareness and to upgrade the level of diffenernt sport activities among people.

Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Mahrouqi, chairman of the Sports Committee at Muscat Municipali­ty said that this tournament tries to invest the success made in the previous tournament and to continue finding an effective sponsorshi­p that serves as an umbrella for such tournament.

Muscat Municipali­ty thanked Khimji Ramdas for their support and said that the draw will be held at later date.
