Enjoy high-speed internet as fibre-optic becomes available

MUSCAT: The wait to enjoy the internet with high-speed streaming, downloads and uploads, as well as uninterrup­ted and bufferfree streaming is over, as fibre-optic connection­s become available in various parts of Oman.

Starting from just OMR28 per month, customers living in Mabela, Al Khoudh and Al Amerat will soon be able to enjoy Ooredoo’s Super Fibre home Internet with speeds of up to 1Gbps.

“Customers want to enjoy the internet and we want to provide them with value-added products and service to ensure they can stay connected. With Ooredoo’s Super Fibre services expanding to more areas in October, we are providing customers with more ways to connect all their devices and experience uninterrup­ted internet,” said Feras bin Abdullah Al Sheikh, Director of Consumer Sales at Ooredoo.

In addition to Mabela, Al Khoudh and Al Amerat, Ooredoo’s Super Fibre is already available in Al Mussanah, Al Khuwair, Ruwi, Darsait, Al Hail, Al Mawalih, Al Khoud, Al Mabaila, Al Manuma, Al Seeb Jadida, Hayy Al Saruj, Sur Al Hadid, Al Seeb Wadi Al Luwami, Ras Al Hamra, the Tilal Complex, Al Ghubra, and Al Athaiba Al Shamaliya.

“Residents in Mabela South4 (Block 3,4,11 and 12), Al Khodh7 and Al Amerat (Al Mahaj) can order Ooredoo’s Super Fibre through WhatsApp by sharing their ID and location at 95103000, heading into one of Ooredoo’s 50 stores, or calling the Fibre team on 1514,’ an official from the company stated.

Moreover, customers can take advantage of a free modem and installati­on, as well as unlimited fixed Ooredoo minutes and discounted internatio­nal rates.

“Starting from just OMR 3.5 a month, customers can also get a boost of coverage throughout their homes with the latest WiFi Mesh device 2-packs (Linksys VELOP Tri-Band),” the official added.
