Target to sponsor Khalid fourth time in a row

MUSCAT: For the fourth consecutive season Oman rally driver Khalid Soomar will have the support from Target LLC. to participate in local and regional championships.
Speaking during the signing of the sponsorship agreement Yousef Shammas, general manager and board member of Target LLC said, “that this is not the first season the company has supported activities this kind especially when it comes to the sport and Rally Champion Khalid Soomar in particular, this is due to the good relation between the two parties over last four years, and hence we have continued supporting him for next season”.
Tariq Shammas, Deputy General Manager, for Target LLC said, “We are glad to have come forward in supporting Khalid this year also as part of our CSR responsibility within the Sultanate, Khalid has proven to be a good driver who is always looking forward to bringing more laurels for the country, so we request all companies to do the same for local talent not just in sport but in different fields”.
“Besides supporting Khalid over the last four years we have even been sponsoring his brother Khalil too who have expressed their gratefullness, he added.
“I really appreciate the support I have received from Target this season, and even over the last few years, I am grateful to Yousef Shammas and Tareq Shammas for their help which allows me to take a part in local championships”, said a delighted Khalid Soomar.
“Participating in various championships cost you a lot of money especially when one has to get the vehicle fit for competition, therefore I am extremely excited that Target has come forward and supported me ahead the championship, but as the cost is still so steep I look forward to more companies supporting me”, he added.
