Indian School Muladha crowned Kho-Kho champions
MUSCAT: The students of Indian School Muladha excelled in the CBSE Oman Cluster Kho-Kho tournament, which was held at Indian School Nizwa on October 9 and 10.They brought laurels to the school by being the champions for the fourth consecutive year in under -19 boys category. The under 19 girls bagged the first runner up trophy and the under -17 boys achieved the title of the second runner up.
A team of thirty six students from Indian School Muladha participated in the tournament with great spirit and enthusiasm.
The under- 19 boys team included Afthab Mohammed Rafy (XIIB) Muhammed Salmanul Farisi (XI-B), Muhammed Jalal (XII-C), Hari Krishnan (XII-B), Christy Baburaj (XII-C), Prabin Shijo Peter (XI-A), Mohammed Farhan (IX-B), Shelbin (XII-A), Felix C. Prakash (XII-A), Nihal Muneer (VIII-C), Dinu Denny (X-A) and Mohammed Jasim (XII-B). Under the guidance of Mr Pravin C. K, the coach of Indian School Muladha and the captaincy of Afthab Mohammed Rafi (Under -19 boys), Alfiya Ansari (Under -19 girls) and Mohammed Sahal Ismail (Under -17 boys), the teams exhibited an outstanding performance.
Indian School Muladha grabbed the overall championship trophy for under- 19 boys category by defeating Indian School Salalah in the finals. The teams of under -17 and under -19 categories for boys and girls from various schools participated in the tournament.
A prize distribution ceremony was organised by the host school and the champions of the tournament.
The president of the School Management Committee, Mr Siddique Hassan, Principal, Mr S.I. Shareef, Assistant Vice Principals, Mr Jailal V.C and Mrs Sheeja Jaleel, Chief Coordinator of cocurricular and extra-curricular activities, Mr Niyas Ahamed and teachers appreciated the winners.
The under -19 boys team is qualified to take part in the CBSE National Kho-Kho Tournament which is going to be held in Haryana.
