Salalah Mills celebrates World Quality Day with varsity students

MUSCAT: Salalah Mills Co. (SMC) celebrated “World Quality Day-2018” on November 8, 2018. On this occasion, General Manager Ahmed Amer Al Shanfari welcomed a team of students from Dhofar University.

The students had the opportunity to see the state-of-the-art milling process and interact with

the technical personnel.

The general manager explained how the company has invested in quality, services and people to build and maintain customer trust and confidence in SMC products for the past two decades. These systems of governance, assurance and continuous improvement combined with our culture of quality are our investment in trust and reputation.

“Quality is a question of trust, and therefore, in 2018, we are celebrating the role that everyone in our organisation plays in building and sustaining trust for all stakeholders such as customers, suppliers, staff, regulators, shareholders and the society,” he said.

The company is accredited with ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System), ISO 2200:2005 (Food Safety Management System), ISO/ IEC 17025:2005 (Competence of Testing Laboratory) and HACCP certifications.

The general manager thanked the students for their enthusiasm and eagerness in visiting the facility and learning the milling processes.
