Exemplary performance by ISM students in Oman Cluster Athletic Meet 2018

MUSCAT: ISM hosted the CBSE Cluster Athletic Meet on the school grounds recently. The Chief Guest for the inaugural ceremony was Ravi Shankar Goel, Second Secretary, (Community Welfare) Embassy of India in Muscat. The Guest of Honour was Shahab Haider Rizvi, Vice President- Chairman, Sports & Co-Curricular SubCommittee, School Management Committee, Indian School Muscat.

The members of the School Management Committee, Principal – Dr Rajeev Kumar Chauhan, Senior Vice-Principal (Admin), Vice- Principals, Asst. Vice-Principals, parents, well wishers and students were a part of the grand inauguration.

The participating school teams marched in proudly with their respective school flags. Anoushka Punja, Sports Coordinator of Indian School Muscat welcomed the gathering.

Anoushka was the youngest athlete in the history of ISM to win a medal in CBSE Athletic National Meet in Chennai in 2015.

Ravi Shankar Goel, in his speech encouraged the athletes to pursue success with determination and declared the athletic meet open. The chief guest hoisted the CBSE Oman Cluster flag. On behalf of the athletes, Anoushka took the oath. Abir Zubieda, Asst. Sports Coordinator proposed the vote of thanks.

Dr C.M. Najeeb, Vice Chairman, Board of Directors, Indian Schools in the Sultanate of Oman was the chief guest of the closing ceremony.

Ajay Kumar Pillai, President, SMC, other esteemed members of the School Management Committee, Dr Rajeev Kumar Chauhan, Principal and a host of other dignitaries graced the occasion.
