His Majesty the Sultan receives National Day greetings

MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said has received cables of greetings from State Council Chairman Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, Majlis Al Shura Chairman Khalid bin Hilal Al Ma’awali, Minister Responsibl­e for Defence Affairs Sayyid Badr bin Saud bin Harib Al Busaidi and Inspector General of Police and Customs Lt. Gen Hassan bin Mohsen Al Shraiqi on the occasion of the 48th National Day.

Dr Mantheri and the members and employees of the State Council expressed their sincere greetings and wishes of good health, happiness and a long life to His Majesty the Sultan and the Omani people further progress and prosperity under His Majesty’s wise leadership.

He said: “This glorious anniversar­y has cemented in the people’s hearts and minds their sincerity and loyalty towards the leader and the achievemen­ts made in the Sultanate.”

He said that the developmen­t throughout the 48 years of the Blessed Renaissanc­e has reached all citizens and residents in the Sultanate. The Blessed Renaissanc­e and achievemen­ts have transforme­d Oman into a modern state.

In his cable, Al Mantheri said that His Majesty the Sultan has accorded due care to the Shura march for further community participat­ion in the national decision and ensured integratio­n of the efforts within the state’s institutio­ns.

In his cable, Al Ma’awali said: “On behalf of the members and employees of Majlis Al Shura, we take pride in expressing our sincere greetings and wishes on the 48th glorious National Day, praying to the Almighty Allah to grant Your Majesty good health, happiness and a long life and to return this occasion for years to come with further progress and prosperity.”

He said that the Shura march and progress is heading in the right direction set by His Majesty the Sultan since the dawn of the first decade of the Blessed Renaissanc­e.

He said that justice, stability and prosperity have covered all parts of the Sultanate, thanks to His Majesty’s wise leadership and the efforts of the government through the developmen­t programmes. Oman has transforme­d into a modern state and the achievemen­ts throughout the Blessed Renaissanc­e have covered all fields, including health services, education, roads and communicat­ions and a decent life for all citizens.

Al Ma’awali prayed to the Almighty Allah to return this occasion for years to come for further progress, peace and stability and prosperity.

In his cable, Sayyid Badr on part of all the personnel of the Ministry of Defence, expressed greetings and wishes of good health, happiness and a long life to His Majesty the Sultan. He said the celebratio­n of the National Day renews the people’s loyalty and sincerity to the visionary leader and his balanced policy for further cementing the principles of peace and solidarity in the Sultanate.

He said that the armed forces while celebratin­g this Glorious National Day, reaffirm their leading role in the comprehens­ive developmen­t march and achievemen­ts made in the Sultanate. He prayed to the Almighty Allah to grant His Majesty the Sultan good health, happiness and along life for further progress and prosperity in the Sultanate.

Al Shraiqi said: “We, along with the ROP personnel have the privilege to extend our sincere greetings and gratitude on the 48th Glorious National Day, praying to the Almighty Allah to return this and similar occasion on Your Majesty with good health and happiness and the Omani people with further progress and prosperity.”

“We celebrate this occasion with great achievemen­ts secured in the Sultanate, thanks to the wise leadership of His Majesty the Sultan. ROP personnel while celebratin­g the National Day feel proud of the achievemen­ts and the comprehens­ive developmen­t under His Majesty.”

He prayed to the Almighty Allah to grant His Majesty the Sultan good health, happiness and a long life for achieving further progress and prosperity.
