Oman Tennis Association hosts Monthly Junior Tennis tournament

MUSCAT: Oman Tennis Association (OTA) successfully held the OTA Sixth Monthly Junior Tennis Tournament during the weekend.
This event is a part of OTA Development Programme for Juniors to enhance the growth of tennis in the Sultanate.
The Oman Tennis Association is focusing on the development of the Under-7 Unisex Mini Tennis for 5-7 year olds regularly.
The Monthly tournament
is conducted from 8am till 11am and then from 4pm till 11pm.
More than 70 Junior Boys and Girls including Omani and Expatriates participated in the Under-7 Unisex Mini Tennis as well as U-10, U-12, U-14, and U-18 categories. The top two winners from the boys and girls category were awarded at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher.
OTA Chairman Khalid Talib Al Nabhani and OTA Executive Manager Salman Abdulrahim Al Balushi were the guest of honour and they distributed the awards to the winners and runners up. OTA thanked the parents and players, SQSC staff for support during the tournament. Results:
Under-7 Unisex Mini Tennis: Vedant Mohan beat Ben Coxon 105, 10-4, third place Talia Essam Al Busaidi, fourth place Advay Kapoor.
Under-10 Girls: Aisha Essam Al Busaidi beat Rita Malakhova 10-7, 7-10, 7-4, third place Rahma Said Al Busaidi, fourth place Fatma Salman Al Balushi.
Under-10 Boys: Vedant Mohan beat Pranav Ramsing 10-5, 10-8, third place Ahmed Ehab Ibrahim.
Under-12 Boys: Isa Ali Al Suleimani beat Rohan Sebastian 6-0, 7-5.
Under-12 Girls: Kaviya Jayakumar beat Kira Malakhova 6-0, 6-0.
Under-14 Boys: Marwan Faiz Al Khanjari beat Noah Sennhauser 6-3, 6-1.
Under-14 Girls: Kira Malakhova beat Kaviya Jayakumar 6-1, 6-3.
Under-18 Boys: Marwan Faiz Al Khanjari beat Ayvret Van Waveren 0-6, 7-6(7), 7-4.
