MUSCAT: If you have been moved by the looks of the appealing and exciting design of the Kia Optima, then the refreshed Optima will take this affair to an all new level.
Sporting an aggressive stance that makes a mark on every arrival, Optima’s exterior encourages one to take more than just a second look. With the redesigned LED running lights and projection beam fog lamps, all of which draw inspiration from the Stinger Sport sedan.
Making a mark of prominence on every sight is the new Intaglio grille that features new colours such as matte grey and gloss black. The sleek and stylish design language is sure to make the Kia Optima a favourite among customers. Adding to this style factor is the size of the alloy wheels that also vary by trim, gloss black mirror caps, side sills and air intake grille. The refreshed Optima is distinguished by distinctive new dual twin exhausts.

Integrated Memory System (IMS) allows for individualised seat and side mirror position preferences for up to two drivers, while 8-way power-adjustable front seats include 4-way driver and 2-way front-passenger lumbar support.
The intuitive Around View Monitor with Parking Guidance (AVM) system features a 1Mmegapixel camera, which combines four wide-angle images from cameras installed at the front, rear and sides of the vehicle to provide a more comprehensive sight of available space around the vehicle while parking or moving at a low speed.
The Smart Mode (DMS) monitors an individual’s driving style and switches automatically between Sport, Comfort and Eco modes to provide the optimum balance between performance, fuel economy and smooth operation. Powering this thrilling new entrant are two engine options – 2.0L, 152 hp @ 6200rpm & 2.4L, 176 hp @6000 rpm, both paired to a 6-speed Automatic Transmission.
The interiors of the refreshed Optima are a delight to owners. The 2019 Optima now comes equipped with Ambient Lighting, a soft glow from within the panel to the front door armrests. The subtle lights provide for a more comfortable atmosphere, especially at night. Drivers can select from six different shades of colour. Adding to the convenience aspect in the Optima is the Driver’s Seat Height Adjuster and the Front Passenger Seat Height Adjuster.
Like all Kia vehicles, safety in Optima too takes its place of importance with features like Front and Rear Parking Assist System, Driver Seat Lumbar Support, Driver and Front Passenger Airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
