Grand Hyatt Muscat gears up for the festive season

MUSCAT: It’s festive time at the Grand Hyatt Muscat. The halls are decked and the stage is set to welcome the celebratio­ns with a spectacula­r ‘Grand Christmas Musical’, a ‘Jingle Bells Christmas Brunch’ and the grand New Year’s Eve celebratio­ns.

As the countdown to Christmas begins, guests can join a mystical experience at ‘The Garden’ and expect nothing less than a spectacula­r show for the very first time as The Muscat Singers and the British School Muscat Choir present a Grand Christmas Musical on December 11, from 6pm to 7:15pm, heralding the onset of the festive season. There will be more to put a smile on the face of little ones, as Santa Claus pays a visit to spread the joys of the season.

Guests looking to tuck into traditiona­l home baked Christmas favourites can come over to Sirj Tea Lounge, which will be bedecked and ready to serve festive delicacies from 10th December to 25th December, between 10am to 10pm. These Christmas delights, created by Grand Hyatt’s culinary experts, will also be available for purchase at la carte prices. To usher in Christmas in style, the hotel will present a special Christmas Eve buffet dinner at the Mokha Café on December 24th. The festive buffet, featuring a range of festive items and themes, is designed to take guests on a gastronomi­cal journey and is available at OMR30 including a glass of sparkling or OMR26 non - alcoholic cocktail and OMR13 children (6 to 12 years old).

Christmas Eve at The Grill House promises to be a fulfilling affair, in every sense of the word. Guests can dine under the stars with a host of options from the grill, including slow roast turkey. Foodies can look forward to a variety of seafood, poultry and beef dishes – all cooked to perfection by the team of talented chefs. The buffet will be priced OMR30, inclusive of seafood or poultry inclusive of turkey; OMR39 with beef, seafood platter or surf ‘n’ turf; and OMR45 for Wagyu, Angus beef or seafood. Prices include unlimited beverages. Diners at Tuscany can opt for the Special Christmas Eve menu, which will be priced a la carte.

Christmas Day will be a family affair with the ‘Jingle Bells Brunch’ at Mokha Café, from 1pm to 4:30pm, on 25th December. The Brunch will feature live cooking stations that will serve traditiona­l Christmas dishes as well as internatio­nal delights, to the accompanim­ent of some live beats. The Brunch is priced OMR42 including a glass of sparkling, OMR19 (children) and OMR15 unlimited beverages.

This time around, the New Year’s Eve will be a French Affair at ‘The Garden’. ‘Paris by Night - NYE’ will be reminiscen­t of the unique fashion trends and glamour quotient of that era, presenting a perfect platform to ring in the New Year in style. Guests attending the gala dinner at The Garden /The Grill House or Tuscany will be welcomed at the Grand Lobby from 7pm onwards, to enjoy some aperitifs and special handcrafte­d drinks. Guests are invited to get ready to witness the night unfold and bid adieu to 2018 with no regrets. The award winning Internatio­nal band ‘The Swing Revue’ will perform from 8pm onwards along with some exciting performers taking the fun quotient of the evening to a top-notch. ‘Paris by Night’ priced at OMR85 (adults) and OMR40 (children - 6 to 12 years) - inclusive of premium beverages.

At Tuscany, guests can indulge in a true Italian style New Year’s Eve, from 8pm onwards. On offer is an elegant 5-course menu, including premium beverages (price OMR85 for adults and OMR 40 for children - 6 to 12 years). Countdown to the New Year will be in a setting conspired to evoke a sense of nostalgia. The Grill House offers a perfect setting to immerse in the evocative mood of the evening.
