Indian Social Club organises unique Children’s Day Programme
MUSCAT: The Indian Social Club – Open MIC (ISC) group organised a music and dance concert “Just for Kids” on the occasion of Children’s Day on November 17, at ISC Multipurpose Hall, Darsait. This is the third year in a row that the Children’s Day has been organised by the Indian Social Club – Open MIC.
The programme was coordinated by Tariq Ansari Bahar and Shilpa Deshpande along with a team of three members: Neha Shah, Sandeep Patil and Sanjeev Karanjaki. The event gave a platform to the young budding talents of Muscat to present their skills onstage.
It was a unique programme organised by the ISC which had a motto - “For the children and By the children”. Two young and dynamic teenagers, Sahil Shah and Aryan Deshpande, students of Class 7 and 9 respectively, hosted the show. They entertained and engaged the audience with their conversations and questions. Apart from hosting the show, they also performed at the event by singing a solo song. There were total 24 performances by kids aged between 4 to 15 years. Of these, 18 were singing performances and six were dance performances. Amongst the dances, two were solo dance performances, two were group dances by the sizzling stars and the dazzling stars of Delicious Dance Academy, and 1 each by Kings United Dance Academy and Angles Dance Academy. The children who participated in the solo events were: Mahi Chidwal, Diyasree Roy, Vatsal Roy, Christina Mallick, Aditya Ranjith, Aadhishankar Suresh, Priyanka Gorule, Nihira Deshpandey, Adnaan Tariq Ansari, Rhea Kiran, Tiana Nitin Sujanani, Shreya Sridhar, Shriya Madan, Bhasitha Pulipaka, Roshni Prabhu, Sanjana Naveen, Ananya Prasad, Swapnil Pandit, Amritha Santhosh, Shruti Shivayogi, Aarush D Rao and, Suraj Naveen.
The audience thoroughly enjoyed all the performances and there was a surprise event arranged for the kids which was the magic show presented by magician, Ashok. Refreshments were also served to all the kids who attended the programme, courtesy Sweets of Oman, chips and biscuits by National Biscuit Industries Ltd SAOG, Al Mudhish Chips, and Pizza Hut.
The occasion was graced by the presence of the Vice Chairman of ISC, CM Sardar, General Secretary of ISC, Babu Rajendran. Suhail Khan, Entertainment and Joint Sports Secretary of the ISC were also present throughout the event to cheer the kids for their performances. Certificates of Appreciation were distributed to all kids who performed at the event.
