Indian Schools, Education Ministry to jointly hold exchange programme
MUSCAT: The Board of Directors of Indian Schools in Oman, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, will be organising a mega Cultural Exchange Programme to mark the National Day celebrations of Oman, on Thursday, 6 December 2018 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at Indian School Al Wadi Al Kabir (Primary School Grounds).
The Cultural Programme, a novel initiative, is named ‘Al Ta’ayush Al Silmi – Bonding Beyond Boundaries’ and the programme will showcase indigenous cultural programme from different communities, by the private and international schools in Oman. Each school will present a programme which is unique to its culture and tradition. In this way, ‘Al Ta’ayush Al Silmi’ will showcase a spectrum of cultural diversity, but the ultimate objective of the programme is to educate the young minds that they need to stand united to build up a new world where peace and harmony prevails.
To achieve the above objective, students from Omani, Indian, Pakistani, Filipino, Egyptian, Bangladeshi and Sri Lankan Schools are coming together to celebrate their happiness on this auspicious occasion when the Sultanate of Oman is celebrating its glorious 48th year of renaissance.
The event will be attended by senior officials from the Ministries and Embassies; dignitaries from different communities in Muscat; Board of Directors of participating schools, principals and students from different international schools in Oman.
The Board of Directors of Indian Schools and the Directorate of Private Schools, Ministry of Education along with the Management Committee of Indian School Al Wadi Al Kabir are working in tandem to make the event a grand success.
