They competed with over 3,000 participants from 58 countries in several categories namely the Scholar’s Challenge, Collaborative Writing, Team Debate and Scholar’s Bowl and won 23 silver medals and 11 gold medals.

The theme was ‘An Entangled World’. The students prepared themselves on a range of subjects from Science, Literature, Art and Music, to History and Geography.

The keynote speakers were Aaron M. Ellison, who spoke on Creator of Hemlock Hospice and Pilar Velasco, a Yale University speaker and Spanish journalist.

The World Scholar’s Cup motivated the scholars to think rationally and out-of-the-box. Exchanging ideas and listening to new perspectives on many issues was truly a great learning experience.

During the Cultural Fair, the students displayed the rich cultural diversity of the beautiful land of Oman.

They also gained knowledge about the varied cultures across the world and interacted with their peers across the globe.

The educational tour to Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Yale University gave the students an opportunity to experience as to what it would be like to be a student at one of the world’s greatest universities.

This long journey which began last year in Athens and then to the Global Round in Barcelona culminated in the Tournament of Champions at Yale University.
