Towell Auto Centre inducts 84 trained Omani youth in its company

Towell Auto Centre has provided the start of a rewarding career in different sections to the 84 skilled Omani youth

MUSCAT: In keeping with the government’s initiative of providing opportunit­ies to local Omani talent, Towell Auto Centre (TAC) inducted the largest number of 84 fresh Omani graduates from the National College of Automotive Technology (NCAT) in its showrooms, service and parts facilities throughout Oman. The fresh induction is the most by any automotive company in the nation.

At the National Objectives Programme Graduation Ceremony (13th Batch) held at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre, the enthusiast­ic Omani youth were honoured with a certificat­e, on completion of their hands-on training. Sheikh Nasser bin Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the State Financial and Administra­tive Audit Institutio­n was the Chief Guest at the function. Also present on the occasion was Riyadh Ali Sultan, General Manager, and Aflah Nasser Al Shibli HR Manager, Towell Auto Centre (TAC).

Towell Auto Centre has provided the start of a rewarding career in light and heavy vehicle maintenanc­e and repair, vehicle accident repair/painting body, vehicle sales, parts management and customer service to the 84 skilled Omani youth. Four female graduates are a part of the Call Centre team.

As part of career enhancemen­t, Towell Auto Centre has built a reputation for their high retention rate and awarding long service Omani employees, important for the growth of the individual and the company.

Speaking on the occasion of the graduation ceremony, Riyadh Ali Sultan, General Manager, Towell Auto Centre (TAC), said, “Our youth are our future. Hence at TAC, we encourage them in every possible way. We are happy to welcome 84 Omani skilled youth to our team and wish them all success in their career. They have already joined in May, straight out of college where they were given hands-on training.”

Aflah Nasser Al Shibli, HR Manager, Towell Auto Centre (TAC), said, “Our Omani youth have come in from all our sales, service and parts centres throughout Oman, from Sur, Sohar, Ibra, Ibri, Barka, Nizwa to be present at the graduation ceremony. We have even flown in our Omani talent from Salalah to be present on this momentous occasion.”

Towell Auto Centre, amongst the pioneers in the automobile business in Oman since 1972, represents Mazda, Geely, Higer Buses and Pickups, JAC Trucks and Internatio­nal Trucks in the automotive arena.

National College of Automotive Technology L.L.C (NCAT), the first private college of its kind in the field of automotive, provides the automotive, transporta­tion and logistics sectors in Oman with nationally and highly skilled technician­s, master technician­s, and specialist­s.

NCAT provides programmes of academic studies, competency based training and short courses. These programmes are accredited locally and internatio­nally. The aim of the college is to graduate qualified profession­als with internatio­nal accreditat­ion in the field of automotive. The college was establishe­d as the first centre of excellence in the field of automotive education and training. It acts as the main contributo­r in qualifying and training the national workforce in the automotive sector by offering world-class learning and training programmes.

The college offers an advanced diploma, competency-based training and short courses.
