Thousands greet Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan

-

Indian superstar Shah Rukh Khan added that since he is taking some time off to be with his children, “the next best thing I can do is come for a holiday with my kids to Oman and spend some time here”.

During the promotional event, thousands of people gathered at City Centre Muscat on Friday to greet the superstar, also known as “King Khan”, who is on tour to promote his upcoming film.

The story of the movie revolves around Bauua Singh (Shah Rukh Khan), a vertically challenged man, who is full of charm and wit, with a pinch of arrogance. Born to a wealthy family and raised in an environment of affluence and indulgence, Bauua was never failed by Meerut – a city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh – or its people.

But when he meets two women (Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma), his experiences with these women take him on a journey to complete his “incompleteness” and broaden his horizons to find a purpose he never knew he had.

“What you have to understand is that all of us in our incompleteness are the only ones good enough and this is the one life we have to make the most of it. So, instead of worrying about what people say and think about us, or what we want ourselves to become, we need to celebrate ourselves for being incomplete and that is the whole message of the film,” King Khan said.

The actor shared that it was one of the most difficult movies he has worked on and due to the technique used in the movie to show him as vertically challenged, each scene took about five hours to be shot, whereas generally, it takes an hour. Therefore, the movie took more than two years to be completed.
