Regional stability efforts of Sultanate win praise
Stephen, Hadley Executive Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the Atlantic Council, also praised Oman’s remarkable development
MUSCAT: Dr. Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, Chairman of the State Council received in his office on Sunday a delegation from the Atlantic Council, headed by Stephen Hadley, former Advisor of the US National Security, Executive Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the Atlantic Council.
Dr. Al Mantheri highlighted the Sultanate’s keenness in establishing good relations with all countries of the world. He pointed out in this regard to the Sultanate’s distinguished relations with the USA and Europe.
He also affirmed that the Sultanate spares no effort in serving the international peace and security.
It also strives to achieve stability in the region, besides spreading values of tolerance and harmony to promote understanding, coexistence and communication among nations and peoples.
Dr. Al Mantheri also gave a briefing about Majlis Oman, its role in the national work within the framework of the state of law and institutions of which pillars were set up by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
The meeting exchanged cordial conversations on a number of regional and international topics of common concern.
On his turn, Stephen Hadley, former Advisor of the US National Security, Executive Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the Atlantic Council expressed his delight to visit the Sultanate.
He said the Sultanate is witnessing a remarkable development in all fields. He pointed out the pivotal role of the Sultanate in enhancing regional security and stability. He also praised the experience of Shura in the Sultanate, describing it as a unique experience.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the State Council, members of the Council and the Secretary General of the State Council.
