Delicious Dance Academy achieves yet another golden feather in its cap

MUSCAT: Delicious Dance Academy, under the banner of Neelo Music learning institute Muscat, achieves yet another golden feather in its cap. DDA represente­d the Sultanate of Oman at the India’s Internatio­nal Groove Fest organised by the Padanyaas entertainm­ent in Dubai on 16th November 2018.

The flagship competitio­n not only offered a platform for the deserving talents to perform on internatio­nal stage, but also encouraged the teams to take their performanc­e to the next level.

The internatio­nal competitiv­e event aimed to provide a global platform for dance enthusiast­s and the competitio­n spanned over 2 broad categories of dance forms: Classical and Non-Classical with around 85 entries of Indian participan­ts from various countries.

The selected teams contested in the semi finals and winners of the semi finals contested in the grand finale. DDA, with its qualified team of dancers representi­ng Oman, had four entries in the Non-Classical category.

Team Xtrimists and Little Saints bagged Gold in the 13-17 and 7-12 age category respective­ly for their free style dance performanc­e.

Team Zero Degree and Khatarnaks added cherry on the cake by emerging as Runners-up of the Overall championsh­ip out of 85 entries inclusive of all categories. The organisers of the event along with the judging panel unanimousl­y praised the rigour and talent of the performers from Oman and a special mention went out to Team Khatarnaks for their superlativ­e and age defying performanc­e.

“We are honoured to keep the Pride of Oman flying high and we dedicate the trophies we won to the country we call home on this occasion of 48th National Day,” said Delicious Sahadevan, the Director of DDA-Delicious Dance Academy who believes in making best of every opportunit­y and providing the best platforms for his students.
