Sayyid Fahd, Cyprus foreign minister review relations
MUSCAT: His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, received on Thursday Nikos Christodoulides, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus.
The Minister conveyed the greetings of Nicos Anastasiades, President of the Republic of Cyprus, and his best wishes to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said and his government all success.
After welcoming the guest and his accompanying delegation, Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, the two sides comprehensively reviewed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways of boosting cooperation in many fields, in addition to reviewing a number of current issues and developments on the regional and international arenas.
Cypriot Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Christodoulides expressed the importance of this visit due to its positive aspects in exchanging views on all matters and consolidating joint cooperation between the two sides, stressing his country’s appreciation for the balanced policy adopted by the Sultanate in its relations with the countries of the world, which earned it respect from all countries.
He praised the results of his meetings with officials in Oman, expressing his satisfaction with the future of the strong relations between the Sultanate and Cyprus and the mutual desire to upgrade them.
The meeting was attended by Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible of Foreign Affairs, and also by Andreas Panayiotou, Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Sultanate.
