Sayyid Asa’ad in Egypt for first Arab-EU Summit

SHARM EL SHEIKH: Assigned by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, His Highness Sayyid Asa’ad bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Internatio­nal Relations and Cooperatio­n Affairs and Personal Representa­tive of His Majesty the Sultan arrived here, yesterday, leading the Sultanate’s delegation to first Arab-EU Summit scheduled for today and tomorrow in the city of Sharm El Sheikh.

On their arrival, Sayyid Asa’ad and his delegation were received by Hisham Tawfiq, Minister of Business Sector; Dr. Ali bin Ahmed Al Isaei, the Sultanate’s Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representa­tive to the Arab League and a number of members of the Sultanate’s embassy in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Sayyid Asa’ad is accompanie­d by an official delegation comprising Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry; Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communicat­ions; Dr. Fuad bin Jafar Al Sajwani, Minister of Agricuatur­e and Fisheries; Dr. Ali bin Ahmed Al Isaei, the Sultanate’s Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representa­tive to the Arab League; Khalifa bin Hamad Al Badi and Saif bin Ahmed Al Sawafi, Advisors at the Office of His Highness and a number of officials.

On their departure from Muscat, yesterday, Sayyid Asa’ad and his delegation were seen off by Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Shabibi, Minister of Housing; Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shibani, Minister of Education; Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of State and Governor of Muscat; Ahmed bin Nasser Al Mahrazi, Minister of Tourism; Mohammed Ahmed Fahmi Ghanim, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Sultanate and Saif bin Mohammed Al Abri, Secretary General of the Office of His Highness.
