MUSCAT: Badr Al Samaa, Barka marked its 10th anniversar­y with the launch of 10th Anniversar­y Campaign in a glittering ceremony held in its conference hall. Dr. Saleem Salim Khalfan Al Rushaidi, Member of Majlis Shura (Barka) was the chief guest of the event while Dr. Naseer Al Kharusi, DG Private Healthcare Establishm­ent, South Al Batina Region and Dr. Naseer Rashid Al Shukeli, Director - Rustaq Hospital were the guests of honour. 10 years ago, in February 2009, Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals had set up a medical centre in Barka with the main aim of providing an access to quality healthcare services to the people of Al Batinah region.

CT Scan System

The event marked the launch of latest CT Scan System by Philips by the chief guest and guests of honour. It also marked the launch of its campaign to introduce its advanced services to the people of Al Batinah region in the field of Obstetrics, Cardiology, ENT and Radio-diagnosis. A special 10 year anniversar­y emblem was revealed at this occasion.

Badr Al Samaa Hospital, Barka is providing baby delivery packages (normal and caesarean) at huge discounts and free goody bags for the period of three months along with screening packages in cardiology and ENT and CT Scan services at big discounts for the period of one month.

An audio-visual presentati­on showing the transforma­tion from a clinic into advanced hospital was also played on this occasion.

Dr. Saleem Salim Khalfan Al Rushaidi, Member of Majlis Shura said, “I have seen Badr Al Samaa, Barka transformi­ng into an advanced hospital and catering to much increased demands and expectatio­ns of the people in this region with excellence. The hospital boasts of advanced facilities and infrastruc­ture.”

Dr. Naseer Al Kharusi, DG Private Healthcare Establishm­ent, South Al Batina Region said, “This is a specialize­d hospital, critical care units, diagnostic­s, doctors, everything is very good here. We work together with Badr Al Samaa in inspection­s to improve quality of healthcare delivery and it is good to see that they have already implemente­d advanced protocols to ensure quality.

“I appreciate the doctors, nurses and administra­tion of this hospital for very good response given to the requiremen­ts of Ministry Hospital.”

Speaking on this occasion, Dr P A Mohammed, managing director said, “The advancemen­ts of this hospital will continue happening with the introducti­on of new technologi­es and specialiti­es. We have an aim of making it a high-end surgical and critical care centre.” In his address, Dr V T Vinod, managing director, said “We acknowledg­e the continuous support and encouragem­ent given by various ministerie­s and government department­s, medical fraternity, and everyone.

He laid emphasis on unique advantages of Badr Al Samaa, Affordabil­ity, Accessibil­ity and Availabili­ty (AAA).”

Mr. Abdul Latheef, Managing Director, on this occasion said, “Our aim is to make Badr Al Samaa, Barka an advanced and acknowledg­ed centre for its quality services, advanced technology and compassion­ate care for the people of Al Batinah Region. He said every satisfied patient motivates us to touch more lives by bringing smiles on their faces.”

Mr. Naveej Vinod, executive director, said that in 2009 when they set up the medical centre in Barka, it was not like what it is today.

“We are proud to be a part of growth story of Barka. Badr Al Samaa has kept well with the pace of developmen­t here and we are proud to launch it as a hospital,” he said.
