Bank Muscat wins global banking benchmark award

MUSCAT: Bank Muscat, the flagship financial services provider in the Sultanate, in recognitio­n of notable contributi­ons and leadership in the banking sector in Oman, has won the prestigiou­s ‘Bank of the Year – Oman 2018’ award by The Banker (Financial Times, London). Reckoned the most prestigiou­s global banking award, the annual Banker awards define the unique achievemen­ts of leading financial institutio­ns across the world.

The bank posted net profit of OMR179.63 million for the period ending 31 December 2018 compared to OMR176.82 million reported during the same period in 2017, an increase of 1.6 per cent.
