Ooredoo successful­ly passes ISO 9001 surveillan­ce audit

MUSCAT: Ensuring continuous improvemen­t for excellence, Ooredoo has successful­ly passed the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Surveillan­ce Annual Audit conducted by external auditors, Bureau Veritas. ISO 9001 are a globally recognised symbol of an organisati­on’s ongoing commitment to quality, sustainabi­lity and reliabilit­y.

During the latest audit, a thorough review of Ooredoo’s business processes was undertaken. The company demonstrat­ed its ability to consistent­ly improve network availabili­ty and enhance customer experience through compliance and digitalisa­tion. Efficiency increased by up to 31 per cent in different operationa­l processes.

Ooredoo is the first telecoms operator in the Sultanate to achieve and maintain the standard’s latest version of 9001:2015. Two surveillan­ce audits were held, one at the end of 2017 and one at the end of 2018. The purpose of the surveillan­ce audits is to check that the organisati­on is still adhering to the standard requiremen­ts of the ISO certificat­ion.
