OHA and Z-Corp renew partnership

MUSCAT: Under the framework of augmenting public and private sector partnership, The Zubair Corporation LLC (Z-Corp) and its group company General Automotive Company has renewed a sponsorship agreement with Oman Handball Association (OHA). As part of the agreement, Z-Corp will support all the activities of Oman Handball Association for the next one year.

Signing ceremony

The signing ceremony was held under the patronage of Sheikh Saif bin Hilal Al Hosni, Chairman of the Oman Olympic Committee. The partnership agreement was signed by Al Zubair M Al Zubair, Vice Chairman, The Zubair Corporation and by Dr Saeed bin Ahmed Al Shehri, Chairman of the Omani Handball Federation.

The signing ceremony was attended by representatives of ZCorp, General Automotive Company, Mitsubishi, officials from Oman Handball Association, heads of sports club, members of the OOC board and media personnel.

Encourages partnership

It may be recalled that Z-Corp and Oman Handball Association had first signed a partnership agreement in 2015 under an Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) initiative which encourages partnership between private and sports sectors.

Al Zubair M Al Zubair said: “This partnership comes within the framework of strengthening partnership between the private sector institutions like The Zubair Corporation and General Automotive Company with the government sector represented by the Omani Handball Association. We have already been able to help Omani Handball Federation achieve many of its objectives. Over the last few years the game of handball in Oman has received a great boost in Oman.”
