NBC to host incubation exhibition for SMEs

Muscat: The National Business Centre (NBC) is all set to organise Incubation Exhibition in an effort to promote the incubated and graduated Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) from NBC and Riyada.

The exhibition, which will be held in KOM 4 building at the Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM) next Monday, aims at creating business opportunities for the SMEs through targeting purchasing directors and decision makers of public and private bodies, informed Ibtisam Al Farooji, NBC’s Director of Marketing and Media.

“The event shall boost communication links between the SMEs and these bodies. In fact, such events help Small and Medium Enterprises to overcome the challenges they face in winning projects that would ensure their continuity. The challenges are attributed to several factors including the lack of marketing and communication with the related bodies,” Al Farooji further said.

“The exhibition will feature 38 companies, which include the currently incubated companies at NBC and Riyada, companies that graduated from the two incubators, in addition to companies that graduated from other programmes managed by NBC. These companies are specialised in consultancy and training, security and safety services, ICT and innovation, jewellery, tourism and medical products,” she added.
