KTI organises graduation ceremony for ExPGDBM students

MUSCAT: The 9th batch of students from the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management - Khimji Training Institute (SIBM-KTI) successful­ly completed their Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (ExPGDBM).

The graduation ceremony of the 30 graduating students, working with various corporate houses and government Institutio­ns was held at Crowne Plaza Muscat recently.

The event was attended by Munu Mahawar, Indian Ambassador to Sultanate of Oman who conferred the trophies to the graduating profession­als. The evening also saw the attendance of Kanaksi Khimji, Anil Khimji and Nailesh Khimji – Directors of KR along with Dr Seema Singh, Director - Symbiosis Center for Corporate Education, Pune, India, Sachin Malhotra COO – KR Lifestyle Group & Nadeem Ahmed Head KTI.

Mahawar while addressing the graduates compliment­ed KTI for the strategic partnershi­p KTI shares with Symbiosis, Pune-the educationa­l giant and one of the top B schools from India. He mentioned that through this collaborat­ion between KTI & Symbiosis the two Countries have come together to bring quality education for profession­als working in Oman. Education and capacity building is a priority area for India-Oman broader relationsh­ip. While congratula­ting the graduates he mentioned that he’s sure that these students will also contribute to cementing the relationsh­ip between the two countries as they have the perspectiv­e of both the countries. He mentioned that the contributi­on of KTI in the field of education, training and capacity building is most remarkable.

Congratula­ting the graduating students on their achievemen­t, Seema Singh, director, Symbiosis Center for Corporate Education, Pune said, “In today’s competitiv­e world, it has become mandatory to continuous­ly upgrade one’s skills in order to stay in tune with the rapidly changing business environmen­t. The partnershi­p of SIBM-KTI has establishe­d its consistent track record for being among the best quality management education in the entire region. She also mentioned that KTI has been a pillar of support for Symbiosis in perusing the dream of their Vice Chancellor – Dr S. B. Majumbdar of imparting quality education in Oman.

Congratula­ting the graduates on completing the flagship program of SIBM Pune, Nailesh Khimji Director, Khimji Ramdas recollecte­d that it’s almost a decade ago that the ingenious idea of bringing in quality education in Management to Oman for working profession­als was realised and this course was developed. Today almost 450 profession­als have benefited from this programme.

Ritika Kholi, the batch topper and an overall highest scorer of all the previous eight batches till now said, “I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to SIBM & KTI for bringing this opportunit­y to us right here in Sultanate of Oman. It has been a fruitful 18 months of studying PGDBM program here in Muscat. The course is very well structured and faculty well presented the subjects and their experience­s. I learned many things from their experience. I am sure, the knowledge I am taking with me will be beneficial for my profession­al developmen­t.”
